Preface

 

No one doubts that a mother’s love is the greatest love of all, nor does anyone question that the purest emotion in the world is a mother’s love. A mother’s love is like the sea, the mountains, the streams, and the plains — vast, enduring, and gentle. This great love remains eternal between heaven and earth. On May 21st, the Xin Tian Di Seniors Association and the Golden Maple Chinese Seniors Association jointly held a poetry recital themed "Eternal Motherly Love." At the beginning of the event, Dr. Huiping Huang, President of the Golden Maple Association, delivered a speech. She affirmed the significance of the poetry recital, recalled how her understanding of maternal love evolved through different stages of life, and expressed deep respect and longing for her mother.

The recital featured three main themes: To Mother — A Melody of Remembrance；Thinking of Mother — Eternal Memories；Praising Mother — Boundless Love. Through their recitations, participants expressed the tenderness hidden in every stitch and the warmth found in every home-cooked meal — powerful symbols of a mother’s selfless and unconditional love. They also conveyed the deep familial bonds that span three generations — from grandparents to parents to children. The event was gracefully hosted by Hao Ping, whose poised demeanor and eloquent commentary added brilliance to the occasion. Li Li and several other experienced reciters performed works such as "A Letter to Mother" with heartfelt emotion, moving the audience to tears. The atmosphere throughout the recital was warm, profound, harmonious, and beautiful. At the conclusion of the event, several leaders and organizers praised the growth of the poetry society and the progress of the recitation enthusiasts. They sincerely encouraged everyone to continue refining their skills and to spread love and positive energy through the art of poetry. There is great confidence that the poetry society will continue to thrive and reach new heights.
