Introduction

 

The Golden Maple Chinese Seniors Association held a celebration for Canada’s 158th National Day at the beautiful McMillan Park in Mississauga. This marks the fifth consecutive year that Canadian Heritage has sponsored Golden Maple’s Canada Day celebrations, along with additional support from generous sponsors. This year, congratulatory letters were also received from Mississauga Mayor Carolyn Parrish and City Councillors Joe Hornick and Martin Reid.

 

The festivities opened with a passionate symphonic performance by the Golden Maple Band. The celebration was hosted by Mr. Rui-zhu Xu and Ms. Ping Hao, who officially announced the commencement of the 158th Canada Day celebration. Dr. Huiping Huang, President of the Golden Maple Association, delivered a warm congratulatory speech, followed by remarks from representatives of sponsoring organizations.

 

Thanks to the meticulous planning of the Golden Maple Chinese Seniors Association, the Canada Day celebration concluded successfully. After the event, members shared cherished photos and videos, capturing these unforgettable moments and adding a heartfelt closing to the joyful gathering. Revisiting the lakeside festivities brings back the warmth and vitality of the Golden Maple family.

About us

The Golden Maple Chinese Seniors Association is a rising star in 2019. The purpose of its establishment is to realize the following:

1)  Associations in the surrounding areas to carry out social service projects or collaborative projects;

2)  Active leisure life, such as organizing music, dance, fitness and other recreational activities;

3)  Organize classes to improve language skills and skills in using mobile phones, computers and other commonly used equipment;

4)  To organize lectures on society, human landscape, etc. to enhance understanding of the Canadian state;

5)  To participate in public welfare activities, foster community spirit and integrate into society; Promote and participate in multicultural and other community socio-cultural activities.
